Search - Recipe Instructions.png

The star icon that represented the "Saved" button was changed into a heart icon. The star icon was also use to represent the rating for each recipe at the top right corner of the recipe image. I did not want to confuse users by using the same icon for two different features on the app.

FINAL THOUGHTS

SUCCESS AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

  • User stories were identified in the user flow and wireframes

  • Research methods provided clear evidence that was used to identify the user and develop the app

  • Iterations were able to be made after low and high fidelity clickable prototypes were tested to ensure users could seamlessly navigate through the app

  • Design style and brand development complimented the apps aesthetics and met accessibility requirements

  • Downloading the competitors apps and actually using them myself allowed me to understand what features and questions I needed to identify specific needs of the user, as well as eliminate features that were not needed
